The issue with getting the Nexus2 synth is now I read so much better options out there, the word here is not to get it. I've heard dune, it's very nice phat sounding. This hunch on Nexus2 complete is going to set me back 2k, that I could possibly offload for 1k, but I don't wanna jump if I know it's going to be a dud (wrt to value: ie. Considering I have Ti and can program more sounds. I have the hunch that it's going to rock. Haven't heard anyone that likes Nexus2 Complete bundle actually. Thanks for you feedback guys, I think it speaks alot about what's great about this community. Even someone thinks the sounds are mediocre.you can polish them like every source. One thing about the drenched in reverb sounds.just turn off, if you don't like the reverb.isn't that hard. Like I already said, I like the electro sounds most. I think you just need the right expansion and not just spend 2k not knowing what to expect.
Even though there are some good ones you have to search for. All you get is a couple of pop-ish pianos and about 40 leads all sounding the same.Your right with the stock sounds in nexus 2. I don't know about the expansions though, read good things about their sound quality.but the main nexus 2 sounds were all quite boring to me, nothing that stood out except for a handful of patches.especially when compared to the immense amount of content NI's komplete has to offer.Īnd i don't know about it being perfect for "modern dance music".maybe with all the expansions yes but the main palette that comes with nexus 2 holds no weight imo.

Well considering all the other quality software alternatives to nexus 2, i just believe the price/content ratio of this product is way off. Like you said, the sylenth 2 is an amazing synths and great to have if you don't use analog synths. I'm currently going through the web, siphoning through all the commercial sounds banks for the VIRUS TI, even with all that extra soundsets, do you think the nexus2 will complement the TI well? I think the arp mode on the Nexus2 is exceptional though, will come in handy for bread and butter style great tips on the roland/korg analog synths thanks for sharing. As much as I love the TI Virus, I'm guessing the nexus2 will give me more of what virus has to offer but in a concentrated form - kinda like the best of the best from world leading sound desginers. If a sound on Nexus2 is great, I'd still be tweaking it and layering it with other 3rd party effect etc to vibe it up thanks for the KVR thread mate, I think Nexus2 is by far the most expensive softsynth on the market if you get the complete bundle.

I would actually go through every single patch to pick out the gems. I only wished they let you select the sounds you want and pay for that only.
Nevertheless, if I could get 100-200 stella sounding presets in the Synth chord/pads/stab department I'll be alright with that. Yes there's plenty of mediocre sounding patches in every synth library including VIRUS TI, so nexus2 won't be any different. That's what's got me interested/hooked in the first place. Screw nexus and go with NI's bundle.you'll get SO MUCH more for your money trust me.lots of people share your experience too, but the nexus2 demos sound amazing. It has a lot of mediocre sounding patches, some decent ones. Looking back i can't believe i've spend so much money on a rompler. The day i bought NI's Komplete was the day i stopped using Nexus 2. I'm the type of producer/composer that loves sounds to jump out and grab me - thereby inspiring an entire production/musical hook. Recently, I've been convinced that the Nexus2 is an amazing tool to grab sounds that are ready to go. For almost 2 years now, I've been eyeing on a killer synth that will do good top40 type dance synths etc.
